PTP Grandmaster and PTP Slave

Precision Time Protocol (PTP) is a solution for the distribution of synchronization over IP-based packet networks such as IP, IP/MPLS, Ethernet, IP/xPON and IP/xDSL networks.

OSA 5401 Syncplug

Our OSA 5401 Syncplug™ is a highly accurate and uniquely effi cient small form-factor pluggable (SFP) grandmaster clock and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, with the smallest footprint and most compact design on the market. It brings precise IEEE 1588v2 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) frequency and phase synchronization as well as Synchronous Ethernet deeper into access networks, including radio access and small cell networks.

OSA 5405 Series

For maximum benefits, small cells need tight synchronization. With our OSA 5405 SyncReachTM, this is easier than ever before. It features a unique dual antenna that enables it to deliver accurate and affordable small cell synchronization even in urban canyons.
A clear sky view is no longer essential for accurate and reliable GNSS-based synchronization. Our OSA 5405 can be deployed in deep urban canyons closer to where small cells are located. This avoids the archaic and expensive RF cable feeds of typical GNSS installations. Instead, the OSA 5405 uses costeffective Ethernet cabling and offers both electrical and optical interfaces. Our OSA 5405 comes in two variants:

installations at windows or interior walls. Indoor- or outdoor-mounted, even at street level in deep urban canyons, our OSA 5405 offers unprecedented flexibility. And, with its dual GNSS receivers and PTP grandmaster, it delivers the accurate timing that small cells require.

OSA 5410 Series

Our OSA 5410 Series is a family of compact and cost-effective synchronization distribution and assurance devices that brings the power of Syncjack™ to any access network. The OSA 5410 Series offers unique flexibility by supporting delivery and assurance of synchronization utilizing Synchronous Ethernet and IEEE 1588v2 Precision Time Protocol (PTP). Thanks to its built-in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver and Grandmaster (GM) Clock capability, it can be used as a timing source for frequency, phase and time-of-day delivery, as well as a measurement reference for Syncjack™ tools.

OSA 5420 Series

Our OSA 5420 series is a family of cost-effective, mid-scale synchronization distribution and assurance devices that bring the power of Syncjack™ to any network. Following a toolbox approach, the family members of the OSA 5420 series can be utilized in a variety of network synchronization applications, including IEEE 1588v2 Grandmaster, Boundary Clock, Slave Clock and Assisted Partial Timing Support (APTS).

OSA 5430 Series

With our OSA 5430, a carrier-grade IEEE 1588v2 grandmaster clock supporting 10Gbit/s as well as 1Gbit/s interfaces with hardware timestamping, cost-effective and accurate synchronization distribution for next-generation technologies such as LTE-A is no longer a challenge. What’s more, its NTP server, multiple BITS outputs and GNSS receiver capabilities, make it also ideal for the smooth upgrade of legacy synchronization architectures.

OSA 5335 PTP Grandmaster

Our OSA 5335 Modular PTP Grandmaster is a scalable and high-performance IEEE 1588v2 standard compliant Grandmaster Clock for the distribution of frequency, phase and time synchronization over packet-based network infrastructure including IP/MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, PON and DSL networks.

OSA 5548C SSU

Our OSA 5548C Synchronization Supply Unit is a scalable synchronization solution rangingfrom 20 unprotected outputs up to 1,000 protected outputs by adding up to four expansion shelves to the core unit. Its ultra-compact footprint makes it ideal for telecom operators to provide scalable network synchronization in over-crowded exchanges.
